Tracey
Tracey, one of our FRED graduates, has worked hard to improve her literacy skills and was able to gain a level 2 English language qualification. Then she wanted to do more studying to improve her job prospects, but the courses are all online and she does not have a computer. Also Covid meant she could not use library computers or computers at the Forest Road Centre. However, Tracey was able to borrow one of the FRED laptops so she could work on her chosen course, and has been awarded a TQUK level 2 certificate in Mental Health Awareness. Now she is working on Level 3 and applying for volunteering jobs with remote FRED support using Zoom. She is not only improving her reading and writing, she is gaining some of the digital skills that will help her in many aspects of her life. The smile on her face says it all!
A big thank you to Coleford Computers and the Digibus for helping to get the laptops ready for use! Read more on Facebook
