FRED is a voluntary constituted group that recruits and trains volunteer reading Coaches. We provide 1 to 1 coaching and all learning materials ** FREE to anyone in the Forest of Dean and surrounding areas, who struggles with reading and writing. We are entirely dependent on public support and have no paid staff. If you, or any organisation you are associated with, would like to show your support through a donation, however small, we would be delighted to hear from you.

By donating, you can help us to not only continue our work but also develop more ways of using remote learning to support some of the most vulnerable adults in our area.

Covid 19 Update

People with reading difficulties have been particularly affected by COVID 19. We have continued to provide support during the crisis, but there have been additional costs to ensure the safety of our Coaches and Learners

**Our costs are mainly reading materials, equipment and professional fees for training.
